Prices are subject to change without notice. Kikabi Pet Care reserves the right, at any time, to change service prices. All price changes will be reflected on our services & rates page and we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice to all clients of any such changes to the extent it is possible to do so. Bookings made prior to price changes will not be subject to such adjustments.
Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure fairness and to accommodate our large and growing customer base.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Cancellation
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the start of service will not be subject to any fees.
Late Standard Cancellation
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the start of service will be subject to a fee of the minimum 50% deposit made following booking approval.
Peak Period Cancellation
Cancellations made on bookings during peak periods (statutory holidays and long weekends) at least 5 days prior to the start of service will not be subject to any fees.
Late Peak Period Cancellation
Cancellations on bookings during peak periods (statutory holidays and long weekends) made less than 5 days prior to the start of service will be subject to a fee of the minimum 50% deposit made following booking approval.
Frequent Cancellations/No-Shows
Habitual cancellations or no-shows may affect booking priority and/or denial of future services. We will notify clients before taking any such action.
We accept cash or e-transfer to: payments@kikabi.com. Please do not make a payment until you have received a booking approval.
The earlier you book, the better! As we cannot guarantee our availability, we suggest you book as soon possible.
For new clients and pups, we request a minimum 5-day notice prior to a stay/walk.
Standard rates are for services during regular calendar dates.
Peak periods are during statutory holidays and/or long weekends. Those include:

Peak period rates will be applied to the entire service when the holiday and/or long weekend are part of the duration of the service. For example, if an overnight boarding is booked for June 28 - July 4, the total stay would be $60 (peak period rate) * 6 (nights) = $360.
Changes to confirmed bookings made at least 48 hours prior to the start of service will be accepted.
Changes to confirmed bookings made less than 48 hours prior to the start of service will be subject to approval by Kikabi Pet Care.

Yes! We are happy to coordinate a meet and greet prior to booking. Meet and greets take place in a neutral area (park/field) to ensure both your dog and Kikko (if applicable) are set up for success. If you are interested in a meet and greet, please email us at contact@kikabi.com.
Our rates are based on ensuring we provide the best care possible for your pup. At this time, we only offer a reduced rate for overnight boarding stays that are 7 nights or longer, and packages for multiple dog walks per week.
We ask that your dog be up-to-date on their vaccines.
Clients will also be required to sign an agreement/waiver and an intake form about your dog regarding care information, medical needs, allergies, and overall likes and dislikes.
Securing a spot for your furry family member is simple! We follow a 50/50 payment structure to ensure your dates are locked in and we are fully prepared for your pet’s arrival.
Request Your Dates - submit your booking request through our booking page. We’ll review our calendar and send over an approval notification within 24 hours. This notification will include an agreement/waiver form and an intake form for first time furry friends.
All paperwork is due at the start of your dog's stay.
Secure the Spot - once your booking is approved, a 50% deposit is required to officially reserve your dates. This helps us manage our guest list and ensures every pet gets the individual attention they deserve. The deposit is due 36 hours after you receive the booking approval.

Want to pay more than 50%, no problem! Although only a 50% deposit is required, you are welcome to pay more upfront.
Confirmation - as soon as your deposit is received, we will send a payment confirmation.
Final Balance - the remaining 50% balance, if applicable, is due on the day of pick-up.

Playtime with Kikko (and sometimes Wasabi)
Dedicated meal time (pet parents are responsible for providing enough food for the duration of the stay)

A daily update with tons of photos sent directly to you

Drop off and pick up are based on your requested times and our availabilities.
Yes! We provide a daily update at the end of the day which includes a brief description of your dog's day as well as tons of photos.
We understand that accidents and general toy distruction happens! However, if your dog makes large damages to goods or property during their stay, you will be subject to a damage fee. Damage fees will be determined on a case-by-case basis and discussed immediately with you when they occur.
Currently, we offer dog walking in the Sandy Hill and Lowertown area of Ottawa.
We offer private and semi-private walks. To ensure the safety of your dog and others, we will only walk multiple dogs from different households with every owner's permission and if we deem the dogs' friendly and social. To ensure the safety of our handlers, we will only walk 2 dogs per handler.
Securing a walk for your furry family member is simple! We require full payment prior to the every walk to ensure your pup's adventure(s) are locked in.

The amount of walks you book per day is completely up to you and your pup's habits! Most of our clients book one walk per day, however, depending on your schedule and your pup's energy level, multiple walks may be more beneficial.
Absolutely! If your pup siblings are compatible walking mates, we are happy to walk them at the same time. If we find that your pups have different energy levels and needs, we may suggest separate walks to ensure all dog's needs are met. Please note there is an additional fee for additional dogs within the same household.
We will do our best to accommodate last minute bookings, however, it is dependent on our schedule. Please note that bookings made within 3 days of the visit are considered last-minute, but we will do our best to fit you in.
Yes, we will walk regardless of the weather. As Ottawa experiences every type of weather, our biggest priority is ensuring the safety of your pup so we may adjust their walk to accommodate paw safety and weather preferences. We will do our best to provide adequate exercise to your pup regardless.
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate all types of dogs. We use positive reinforcement training practices when walking your pup to help distract and regulate their walking manners. We have worked with trainers to manage our own dog's reactivity and leash pulling which has helped us to use similar practices on other dogs in our care. Regardless, every walk is tailored to your dog's needs.
